crystalline.
crystalline
hard as rock,
see-through as glass,
clear as water,
harder than ice.
smooth facets,
sleek edges.
single, yet many.
find one, find more.
unique,
rare,
solid,
and sleek.
never on the surface;
you dig deep,
and even then,
you may not find it.
why so expensive?
why so exquisite?
only a few exist,
the few who pass the flame test.
those flat facets,
smoother than gold,
reflect the spectrum,
tick every hue in presence.
the keepers of such
share similar qualities:
rare, distinct,
disciplined, different.
a grain of impurity
immediately spotted.
its battle isn’t to be pure,
but, ironically, to be impure.
He who made this substance?
even more glorious to see;
such that He cannot be seen,
present and mighty in every language of light!
